2021-22-247 (Card)

Homemade card from a student to their teacher. The front reads, "Happy Wedding Day" in black crayon, underlined in orange, with a field of several red flowers with green stems underneath. Inside, the first page is signed, "From Kathy Wilhelm:" in pencil. The second page reads, "Have a happy wedding, Miss Holland, Because you will some be a Mrs. Have lots of happyness through all your years. Good-by and good luck," also in pencil. The card is made from a white sheet of paper folded into fourths. It is part of a larger collection in an envelope labeled "May 1961, Third Grade students, Vinton Iowa", which contains several pieces of art from students wishing Miss Holland luck on marriage but they're sad she was moving away.
