RSC-Ohio-178 (Contract)

1833 handwritten teacher's contract for an English school in Ohio. It reads: "Marietta, February 26th 1833. To patrons of common school in the town of Marietta. The undersigned proposes to teach a common English school in district school house No. 2 of said town, for the term of one quarter, to commence on the 18th of March next. He returns the warmest thanks for the liberal patronage, which he has heretofore received. Terms of Tuition: For those studying Spelling, Reading, & Writing or either of those branches $2.00 per qr. For those studying Arithmetick, English Grammar & Geography or either of those branches $2.50 per qr. All scholars chargeable from this time of entering school, unless in case of sickness."
