The gold border and designs on the Iowa flag are all slightly raised. The sides of the medallion are gold. The back of the medallion has a black background with a thin gold border around the edges. The top line of text is "PANTHER BATTALION" in gold across the top of the medallion. Below that are 3 logos. First is the purple and gold UNI Athletics Logo ("UNI" above a panther that faces right). Second is another purple and gold logo (Purple shield with a gold sword inside pointed straight up and gold leaves on either side of the hilt at the bottom. Below is a purple and gold banner with "LUX" written on it). The third logo is for the University of Dubuque Athletics (Blue "UD" with the spartan mascot facing left so the mohawk is the outer edge of the "D"). 2303 2023-15-37 Do Not Disturb Sign White UNI Do Not Disturb sign. Material is a thin flexible plastic. The cutout at the top of the sign is shaped like a Christmas ornament (big circle with a small partial oval at the top of it). Below the cutout is a purple box saying "please do not disturb" in white text. "PANTHER" in yellow text at the bottom of the purple box, left aligned. Below the purple box is a yellow box with a purple and white panther and the words "INSIDE" in white text, right aligned. The panther is positioned behind the word "inside" and is walking to the right. There is a small white strip below the yellow box. Below the white strip is a purple box. 2313 2023-17 Homecoming Button Gold Homecoming button with purple ribbons. "I.S.T.C." at the top. "HOMECOMING" at the bottom of the pin. "1957" in the middle. All is in black font. Two purple ribbons. Left purple ribbon has a fold/crease in it on the outer corner. Additional small purple ribbon attaches a gold ring with a gold football to the pin. Laces of the football face the outside. Football appears wrinkly and some edges are tarnished. 2315 2023-19-1 Button, Homecoming UNI Homecoming Campaniling button 2023. The front side has a photograph of the UNI Campanile lit in purple lights against a black sky with the moon visible beside it. Time on the campanile indicates roughly 8:30 pm. "2023 HOCO" is in purple text to the right of the picture of the campanile. Below that text is "CAMPANILING" in white. At the bottom is the UNI logo. 2316 2023-19-2 Button, Homecoming UNI Homecoming button 2023. The front side has a depiction of the UNI campus including the campanile, UNI-dome, McLeod Center, Schindler Education Center, and the Alumni Plaza, plus other buildings and some trees. This depiction takes up the top half of the button. The bottom half is a purple background with "PANTHER COUNTRY" in white text, "2023 HOMECOMING" in yellow below that, and the UNI logo below that. The back side is plain silver in color with a silver colored pin. Typical button clasp with a single pin that rotates to close. 2317 2023-21-1 Pennant UNI pennant made of felt. Yellow 2.5 cm-wide reinforced felt strip on the left edge. Left 16 cm of the pennant is purple background with UNI Athletics logo centered in it. Right 30 cm are yellow, shaped like a kite with the left side forming a point pointing left toward the UNI Athletics logo. Text says "FIGHT!" in purple text with a thin white outline. 2319 2023-21-3 Can Koozie UNI standard sized purple can koozie. Bottom has the UNI Athletics logo in white. Both sides of the koozie are the same depiction in white. The top part of the front of the koozie is a logo with an overlapping "N" and "I." Below is the text "THE Vintage COLLECTION 1976" with each word on a subsequent line. 2321 2023-21-5 Button Purple UNI button with this at the bottom: the UNI logo (white, italicized "UNI"), then a yellow slash, then "University of" and "Northern Iowa" split on two lines in line with the rest of the text. The main focus of the button is the text "That '70s Hoco" in white text with a purple outline, then a yellow outline, then light purple, then teal. The font is the iconic '70s font. 2322 2023-22-1 Jacket Homemade purple velour jacket with shoulder pads. Lining is white. Chest measures 59 cm in width. Shoulders are 51 cm wide (outer shoulder tip to outer shoulder tip). Sleeve length 89 cm (from the inside back center seam to the shoulder, then down the arm the length of the sleeve). Back length is 82 cm (height of the back seam). Jacket has 10 cm-wide lapels  at widest width, 2 purple buttons on the front, 2 pockets (18x20 cm) on the front, and 3 small buttons on the cuff of each sleeve. Left breast pocket is 12x13 cm. 2323 2023-22-2 Stuffed Football Purple stuffed foam football. Yellow text with "STATE COLLEGE OF IOWA" split onto two lines. Text repeats on either side of the 8 yellow laces printed on the purple foam. Small pieces of the purple foam are missing (about 30 pieces), none greater than 1.5 cm in length each. 2324 2023-22-3 Flower Pot Ceramic round flower pot, cream colored with small black specks. Pot has 3 small holes at the base of the flower pot. Pot sits on a round plate 1 cm bigger around than the pot. Front of the pot says in black text: "Our Tomorrow" and "UNI" with a black line between the two. The words are recessed into a rectangular (5x3 cm) protrusion on the front of the pot. The bottom of the flower pot is rough, not smooth like the rest of the pot. 2325 2023-22-4 Foam Token Round gold token. Front looks like a penny with Abraham Lincoln centered facing right, "LIBERTY" on the left, and "1997" on the right, all text in relief. "LIBERTY" has a slight space between the L and the I. Back has a white stamp centered with "PAW" in large text at the top. Below it is a white line, then "PENNIES @ WORK." 2326 2023-22-5 Shot Glass Clear glass shot glass. The front side of the shot glass has a purple logo. The outer ring is scalloped. "STATE COLLEGE OF IOWA" and "CEDAR FALLS" is in the next ring. Inside is a gold shield with the word "LUX" angled across it like a sash. On top of the shield is a lit lamp. On either side are leaves. 2327 2023-22-6 Mug Large black ceramic mug with gold band 1 cm from the bottom and 1.5 cm from the top. Above the top band is the text, "State College of Iowa." The front side of the mug has a gold logo. The outer ring is scalloped. "STATE COLLEGE OF IOWA" and "CEDAR FALLS" is in the next ring. Inside is a gold shield with the word "LUX" angled across it like a sash. On top of the shield is a lit lamp. On either side are leaves. The year "1876" is directly below the shield. The handle on the mug is black and uniquely shaped, angled upward on the outside (where the hand grips it). The outside edge of the mug has a gold vertical stripe that tapers off toward the bottom. 2328 2023-22-7 Mug Clear purple glass mug. Front has overlapping "N" and "I" logo in gold. Handle is also clear purple, relatively small and square-shaped. Top 1.5 cm of the mug curves outward slightly. The outside of the mug is rounded, but the inside of the mug is octagonal. The bottom of the mug has a ring of small bumps for traction. 2329 2023-22-8 Mug Small white ceramic mug. Front side has a purple logo. "UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN IOWA" and "Cedar Falls" is in the outside. Inside a purple ring is a gold shield with the word "LUX" angled across it like a sash. The year "1876" is at the bottom of the shield. On top of the shield is a lit lamp. On either side are laurel leaves. The mug angles inward toward the top. Where the handle attaches to the cup, there is a ceramic band around the mug. 2330 2023-22-9 Mug White glass Maucker Union mug. One side has purple text saying "Maucker Union" on separate lines of text centered below the Maucker Union logo. The top of the logo has 3 purple rectangles (The two outer rectangles are rounded only on the upper outer corners. The inner rectangle is more narrow than the two outer ones and the whole top is rounded.). Below the right rectangle is a shape that resembles a "U" and is a purple outline. The letters "a" and "U" in the text "Maucker Union" are partially removed but still readable. The other side of the mug says "University of" and "Northern Iowa" on 2 lines of purple text centered below a logo. The logo has two interlocking curved lines that look like a "U" and an "N", with an "I" next to it, forming "UNI" in purple text. The bottom 1.5 cm of the mug has narrow vertical curves that form a bumpy, scalloped ring. The handle of the mug is small and is the same white color as the mug. 2331 2023-22-10 Mug White glass mug. Both sides have purple and yellow logo. The outer purple ring of the logo is scalloped. "UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN IOWA" and "CEDAR FALLS" are in the first ring. Inside a purple ring are yellow depictions of the campanile, the UNI-Dome, and the text "1876" with a purple background. Below the logo is the text "ALUMNI" in yellow text with a purple outline. 2332 2023-22-11 Button UNI Homecoming button with a purple background with lighter shades of purple making a geometric pattern. "LET THE GOOD TIMES" in yellow block font at the top of the button. "ROAR" in a block, lined font inside a box of lines, right angles, and triangles mirroring the background's purple line pattern. This box and text comprises most of the space on the button. 2333 2023-22-12 Card Small white UNI card on thicker paper that opens horizontally (the normal way greeting cards open). Front has black and white drawing of the Campanile with various trees around it. Sky appears to be cloudy and the clock says 3:11. Artist's autograph, "Pam McGinnis ©2007," in black cursive in the lower right hand corner of the drawing. The drawing has a vignette, a 1/2 cm white border around the edges. Inside is blank white. Back has text in black ink centered horizontally on the card. Top line of text is ' "University of Northern Iowa Campanile." ' (Quotes in original). The following text is in paragraph form below it: "Built in 1926, the UNI Campanile was originally a 15-bell carillon. In 1968, it was increased to 47-bells with a range of four octaves. The granite base came from Sauk Rapids, Minnesota; the brick from Rockford, Illinois; and the limestone from Bedford, Indiana. When the Campanile was built, it stood at the geographic center of the eighty acre campus. It quickly became the most recognizable feature of the school. Though the campus has grown considerably since then, the Campanile remains figuratively at the center of campus imagery to this day." The Campanile is in the right half of the card, angled so two sides can be seen simultaneously. Time shown on the clock is 11:45. Background is white except for purple texture marks near the middle of the card that match the pattern on the Campanile. 2338 2023-22-17 Pin National Student Exchange round gold pin. "NATIONAL STUDENT EXCHANGE" around the border of the pin, with a dot between "NATIONAL" and "STUDENT." Inside the ring of words is an outline of the continental United States with the letters "NSE" inside it. Behind the United States outline is a background of horizontal lines. 2339 2023-24-1 Pennant Pennant with a base of purple felt on the left side. The left side (the widest side) has a leather circle attached to the purple felt with the Iowa State Teachers College seal in gold in the center. The rest of the pennant is occupied with the text "CEDAR FALLS" in purple felt. The letters become smaller as the pennant does. This section is on yellow felt with a purple border. The bottom purple border has one small circular hole in it, revealing the yellow felt beneath. Now-faded yellow thread was used for the entire pennant, including the letters which are stitched on. Two fabric ribbons are at the top and bottom of the pennant on the flat side. The back of the pennant is purple and yellow corresponding to the colors seen on the front. 2340 2023-FIC-33 Book 1965 Old Gold Yearbook - Yearbook staff edit copy that was used for final layout. Notes and edits throughout the book show edits to both text and photographs. Front cover has "Office Copy, Please do not take this out of the office!"

2343 2023-FIC-36 Bracelet Purple bracelet with "Once Upon a Time/Homecoming 2015" in white lettering across the front. In the middle of the bracelet front is a white circle with "CAB" written in white in the middle. In the surrounding white ring "Campus Activities Board" and "UNI" are written in purple.
2344 2023-FIC-37 Certificate Charter of the UNI chapter of Phi Beta Lambda. The certificate reads "Phi Beta Lambda/Sponsored by National Business Education Association/The students of University of Northern Iowa Cedar Falls, IA having met the requirements for establishing a chapter in the College Division of the Future Business Leaders of America are hereby granted a charter giving them all the privileges to which membership entitles them and they are hereby constituted chapter number 4 of the National Organization on this 10th day of February 1942." The charter is signed by the Executive Director of the National Business Education Association, Hollis Guy.

2347 2023-FIC-40 Book Small red book with "Themes For Brotherhood" in gold at the top of the front cover. On the bottom of the front cover in black reads "Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia/Among Men Harmony." The book is given to PMs, or new members, when they first join the fraternity. The book outlines speeches and readings from when the fraternity was founded, and outlines certain objectives and points that the fraternity should accomplish. The myth that the fraternity follows is also found in the book. Philanthropy work of the fraternity is also done through the different readings.
2348 2023-FIC-41 Certificate Charter of the Delta Beta chapter of the Phi Delta Kappa fraternity at Iowa State Teachers College. The charter includes the names of the members.
2349 2023-FIC-42 Photograph Photograph of the 1914 men's basketball team with their coach. 
2350 2023-FIC-46 Banner Beige banner wider than its length. Says "ITCC" in red fabric letters with black outlines of cord. The letters curve down at the start and end. Below the letters is a green, smiling turtle. There are several light brown stains on the fabric but they are faint. ITCC stands for "Iowa Teachers Conservation Camp." The camp began in 1950 when the University was still called the Iowa State Teachers College. The camp took place in the summers in Guthrie Center, Iowa. The camp was in cooperation with the Iowa State Conservation Commission and the Iowa State Department of Public Instruction. 2351 2024-5-1 Door Knob Door knob from the main entrance door into the UNI Campanile. The interior and exterior sides of the knob are different styles. The more ornate side is a clear purple rounded octagonal knob. The knob is clear and the inside is silver in color with possible tarnish but it is difficult to see to be certain. There are scratches on the knob. A brass-colored connector joins the knob to a square-shaped metal dowel that goes through the door. The dowel is 6 1/2 cm long with the end closest to the purple knob having grooves on the sides of the dowel. The opposite end has a brass-colored connector and an alternate style of door knob. This end is a U-shape and serves the same function as a door knob. It has some gouges and scrapes on it and some discoloration around the connecting screws. 2024-5-1 (Door Knob) image

Below that is "Live Purple / Give Gold" in purple and white text which is the slogan for the UNI Day of Giving. The 2024 Day of Giving was on Thursday, April 11. Below the text is a depiction of the UNI campus, including the Campanile, Schindler Education Center, the UNI-Dome, McLeod Center, and other features of the UNI campus. 2360 RSC-Ohio-153 Certificate 1895 high school admission certificate for John C. Phelps from the No. 7 school in Bloom township, Fairfield County, Ohio. It has a small floral border and several small icons through the page all printed in dark blue. The bottom of the page has his grades for several different subjects.  From top to bottom it reads, "Certificate for Admission to High school. We, the undersigned School Examiners of Fairfield County, having examined John C. Phelps of No. 7 school, Bloom township, Fairfield County, find that he possesses an adequate knowledge of Orthography, Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, Geography, Physical Geography, English Grammar, United States history, Physiology and Hygiene and is entitled to admission to any High School in Fairfield County, Ohio. Given at Lancaster, Ohio, and dated this 13th day of April A. D. 1895. Signed by president G. M. Morris, clerk D. C. Arnold, and W. J. Dunn."

The book also contains biographies of important Iowans like Homer Seerley, Nannie Torrace, Wilson Lewis, etc. Contains maps of Iowa showing high schools and their locations during 1865 and 1888. The outside cover is an orange-red color. There are two horizontal lines, one at the top and one at the bottom of the page. In between the lines, the title is printed in black. The inside front cover has a small rctangular sticker in the top left corner, reading "Library of Melvin F. Arey." There is a quote on the sticker that says "And please return it.
