2449 1975.4.9.2 Booklet A 8-page booklet titled "Suggestions for Teachers of Aldine Reading." Published by Newson & Company. The inside cover is labeled "The Aldine Readers" with bylines naming Frank E. Spaulding, the superintendent of schools, Newton, Mass., and Miss Catherine T. Bryce, the supervisor of primary schools, Newton, Mass. It gives several primers to use, what phonics children should be practicing, and other classroom tips to help students learn to read all based on reader levels. A cardboard insert, titled "Rhymes from the Aldine Primer," lists 17 common rhyming phrases with red text pointing out important items for teachers to take note of for their lessons. This was originally in the back of a book titled "Learning To Read: A Manual for Teachers"(#1975.4.9.1) that was an Aldine Readers work.

The Campho-Phenique Co. trademark can be found on one side along with text explaining what the product is, on the other side is black text describing the ways in which the product can be used for first aid. The top features the Campho-Phenique Co. trademark again along with ten circular punctures arranged in a shape similar to a star. Around this is two black circles followed by a red, wave-like pattern. One side has two overlapping circles, the one on top has a small image of a person in a flowing robe sitting down and holding a branch, the other has a circular trademark surrounded by leaves. The opposite side has a single small circle containing an image of a man with a moustache in profile. In the center of the the top is an oval-shaped lid that can be removed by pulling up on a lip. 2474 1975.5.30 Container La Flor de Portuondo brand Cuban cigar box, wood. Outside of box is brown wood with stamped black text and red detailing. There are several stickers, to the left of the logo on the top and encircling the box is a deep green band denoting that a tax had been paid, in the center of the lid below the logo is an oval shaped sticker with the Name Juan F. Portuondo in black text, on the bottom right of the lid is a caution label in the shape of a rhombus, on the rightmost side of the box there is an image of workers harvesting tobacco on a plantation, and on the bottom of the box there is information on the factory in which the product was produced. The inside lid of the box is white with text and an image of two men, one in Native inspired attire and headdress and the other in Spanish-style clothing holding a spear, between these two men is a circular image of a tropical landscape with the silhouettes of people in the background. There is blue text on the inside edges of the box.

2481 1975.5.36 Container Glass Humphrey's brand "1" homeopathic preparation for simple fevers vial with cork stopper. Vial has a tan and black printed label, on front of the label is the name of the company and product, an ingredient list, and a small image of a person leaning on a lion which is laying down. Around this area is a simple black boarder with corner details. On the back of the label is instructions on appropriate use of the product. Inside the bottle there is a white powder residue on the bottom and sides. There is wear and rips on the label which impact readability. The number "1" on the front of the bottle has been scratched out in blue ink and the number "36" has been written in the same ink to the left of it. Object is made up of two parts, vial (36a) and cork stopper (36b).
2482 1975.5.5 Spoon Metal spoon with a light blue glaze that has been flecked with white; the handle has a single hole at the end for hanging or attaching for storage or travel. The glaze has been cracked, damaged, and worn away in several places, most notable are a large gouged out area on the top of the handle, near the hole; three gouges on the bottom of the handle near the hole, the largest of which has created cracks in the nearby glaze; and a small but deep gouge at the very top of the front of the spoon. Slight yellowing/discoloration is also present in a few locations.

2496 1976.1.2 Tool Metal mixing tool with wood handle. The handle is carved to fit comfortably in the hand during use and has been painted green. The metal mixing attachment is connected to the handle via a rod going through the center of the wood and held in place with a nut and bolt, the tool itself is made up of two sheet metal side mounts, between which seven steel wires arch up to create a high dome; "Androck; MADE IN USA; PATENTED 11-1-29" is stamped onto the outside edge of each side mount. There is some wear and chipping on the handle, revealing the wood beneath, and significant rusting on one side mount.

2498 1976.1.5 Cup Tin coffee cup with light blue outside and white inside. Single handle attached by metal pins over the seam created when the tin was overlapped. There is chipping in the paint and the exposed tin in the chipped areas has rusted, chipping is more prominent on the handle, top lip, and bottom.
