2294 1975.34.13 Container 4/10 oz cylindrical container for Morton brand salt, cardboard and plastic. The container is blue, on one side is a white oval with an image of a young girl standing in the rain wearing a yellow dress and holding an umbrella in one hand and a container of Morton salt in the other. On the other side is a yellow outline of an oval inside which is a much smaller image of the same girl on the top, the words "Morton Salt" in bold white text in the center, and small yellow text saying "when it rains, it pours" at the bottom. The top of the container is yellow with a small plastic disk which has three circular punctures in the shape of a triangle and a single, raised line which can be used to turn the circle, opening and closing the container by moving the punctures over top of or away from a large circular hole in top underneath the disk. 1975.34.13 (Container) image
2295 1975.34.14 Container Hinged metal container for St. Joseph brand pure Aspirin. The Box is predominantly orange and tan with black and tan lettering. The lid includes the name of the product and manufacturer, Plough Inc., as well as the price and number of Aspirin tablets included, one dozen 5-grain tablets for 10 cents. On the bottom is a list of ailments that the product can aid in. The sides advertise other sizes of the product that can be purchased. Inside the lid is a call to "practice economy" by buying the 35 cent size on future purchases. 1975.34.14 (Container) image
2296 1975.34.16 Frame The front glass of the frame has some light grime on it, the metal on the back has some discoloration/rusting and there is some mild deterioration of the wood on the back edges.
