Glass is a clear brown with four flat sides, near the bottom on each side is embossed text reading "Sealed O NU", "One quart", "Liquid 15", and "MH 530 Reg.". On the bottom is the word "Duraglas" and the numbers "9" and "67". On the top of the cork the number "13" has been written in red ink. Biermann, Druggist" embossed in the center, "3xii" is embossed in the glass above this; to the left of the label is a line of 11 embossed dashes measuring ounces, every other dash is marked with a number counting 2, 4, 6, 8, 10; to the right of the label is a line of six embossed dashes measuring cc, the dashes are marked 50, 100, *blank*, 200, *blank*, 300. 1534 1969.39.13 Bottle Glass bottle with cork stopper, once used for medicine. "viii" is embossed on the top center of one side, to the left of "viii" are 15 raised dashes for measuring with every other dash being labeled with an embossed number counting up from one-seven, on the right side of the "viii" are 4 raised dashes for measuring the dashes are labeled 50, 100, *blank*, 200. A scalloped pattern in the glass begins at the slope of the shoulders of the bottle and goes until halfway up the neck. There is a chip in the lip at the top of the bottle. On the bottom is a narrow, embossed diamond containing the number "1", another embossed "1" can be found on the outside of the diamond, above the rightmost point. 1969.39.13 (Bottle) image
1535 1969.39.14 Bottle 3 oz bottle of Rexall brand "Skeeter Skoot"; glass with metal screw-top lid. Orange and black label on one side of the bottle has the name of the company and product as well as information on what the product can be used for as well as how to use it, below this information is a warning to "Keep away from open lights and flames". On the label, below the information on the product, the number "821558" is stamped in black ink. On the bottom of the bottle is an embossed marking made up of an oval and a diamond overlapping at their respective centers, inside the area that the two overlap is a single dash mark. 1536 1969.39.15 Bottle Bottle of Listerine produced by Lambert Pharmacal Company; glass with cork stopper. Bottle has "Listerine" written in raised letters toward the top and "Lambert Pharmacal Company" written in the same toward the bottom. On the very bottom of the bottle is a raised symbol consisting of an oval and diamond overlapping at their respective centers with a small dash mark appearing in the area where the two shapes overlap, around this symbol the numbers six, twelve, and seven can be seen, also raised. 1969.39.15 (Bottle) image
1537 1969.39.16 Bottle 10 Oz Pepsi-Cola brand bottle, glass with cork stopper. Glass is clear but textured with tiny dots across the entire surface, two raised and clear Pepsi logos can be found on the bottle with clear, raised text above each reading "10 FL. oz." and "No Deposit". 1538 1969.39.17 Bottle 10 oz. Coca-Cola brand bottle, glass. Bottle is made with the green glass that is characteristic of the Coca-Cola brand with a white printed logo in the center accompanied by white text denoting that the product has been trademarked and how much product is included. The bottle is textured with rounded ridges moving up from the bottom and fading out near the neck, there is a gap in this texture for the logo. 1969.39.17 (Bottle) image
1539 1969.39.18 Tool Late 19th or early 20th century wooden potato masher. Large cylindrical top which tapers into a smooth handle with a round knob at the end. Object is all one unit, carved from a single piece of soft wood. There is visible wear and discoloration, mostly concentrated on the top.

1542 1969.39.2 Bottle Bromo Seltzer bottle, glass with metal screw-on lid. Glass is blue with a white and blue label which reads "Bromo Seltzer, Fast relief for simple headache, upset stomach, cold symptoms, minor aches and pains", the words "Bromo Seltzer" are embossed in the glass above the printed label and again on the opposite side of the bottle. On the bottom is an embossed circle containing the letter "M", under which is the number "2". The metal lid is white with blue and is meant to be used as a measuring tool for the product; the words "Measuring cap" appear twice around the sides of the lid and on the top is printed "Fill cap pour into half glass of water", "Bromo Seltzer", and "Tap cap to empty before closing tightly". The vial is wrapped in a tan label which has the company and product name, ingredient list, number of pellets, and instructions on how to use the product written in black text along with a small image of a person leaning on a lion which is laying down. The base of the container is broken off leaving the bottom open with some glass shards poking out from under the label, there are also cracks in the vial that can be seen when looking in from the bottom. Object is made up of two parts, vial (28a) and cork stopper (28b).

The frame is made from a single, thick wire that has been looped, twisted, and soldered into a shape resembling a large spoon with an looped handle; thinner wired has been interwoven and soldered into a wide mesh at the head of the spoon shape.

1567 1970.17.11 Tin Metal Private Growth brand Ke-Lung and Kiang-Su tea tin with hinged lid (broken). Wraparound label is a mustard yellow with black and green lettering and detailing. Text on sides reads "Imported by Chinese trading company" and "80 Front St. New York", back of tin is covered in an overlapping, scale-like pattern. On the front is an image of a person leaning on a lion that is laying down. Text on the front and sides provides information about the product and its ingredients, numbers indicate that the product contained 32 tablets of the medication. Surrounding the text is a rectangular boarder with a polka dot pattern and designs in the corners. On the back is instructions on how to take the medication, "2 tablets every two hours until relieved." The bottom of the box has a black square, inside which is a number 15, over top of this is a line of smudged blue ink. The outside of the container is orange with a picture of two women on the lid circled by a floral frame; one woman is wearing a red and white, ruffled dress, she is sitting down, holding a mirror, and applying face powder, the other woman is wearing a pink shirt, black skirt, and white apron, she is standing behind the other woman and appears to be doing her hair. 1585 1970.17.4 Tool Metal skimmer used for cream. The thin sheet of tin is pear shaped, with a wide, slightly bowed scoop that tapers into a narrower handle. On the scoop is a series of small holes which are arranged into the shape of a diamond; on the handle is a single, larger hole for hanging.

1588 1970.17.7 Tool Metal strainer likely used for tea, circular in shape with flat handle protruding from one side. Small holes in a circular shape appear at the bottom of a scoop, surrounding this is a rim with the words "Eat the Best; Downing's Milk and Domestic Bread." embossed on it. The flat, slightly rounded handle has a single hole used for hanging.
1589 1970.17.8 Tool Wood and metal kitchen tool from the late 19th or early 20th century, most likely used for cutting vegetables such as cabbages. Metal blade is sharp and has been cut into a beveled "U" shape with the two upper prongs being secured to the hardwood handle with rivets; the handle itself is rounded and carved thinner in the middle for a more natural grip. There is a bit of tarnish present on the blade and the handle has some minor cracks coming off of the two rivets.
1590 1970.17.9 Tool Metal scoop with handle. Silver metal was once painted orange, however much of the paint has been worn or scratched off, the color now is a gold tone with silver visible in many areas, there are also a few places where the original orange has not completely worn away, most notably around the mouth of the scoop. There is some text printed on one side, wear and damage makes legibility difficult, but the area that is legible appears to read "Vollands Daisy Roller; Ask your grocer *illegible*; Mills at 14 West Columbia St., Fort Wayne, Ind.". The scoop itself is conical, with the wide end acting as an opening with an angled protrusion stretching out from the bottom; on the top is a handle which attaches via prongs at the mouth and tip of the scoop. There is minor denting and misshaping in various places and a significant amount of wear on the paint and metal underneath.
