Each cap is small and cylindrical and closed on one side, the open sides have four tabs forming a lip around the opening (with the exception of one which has six tabs), the size and shape of the tabs varries from cap to cap. Some of the caps are bent or crumpled, most have some level of discoloration/corosion.
